Last Wooden OTS 7.6

Nostalgia - yes. Clunkiness - no.

The real map 7.6: the same Thais, the same Rookgaard, the same old monsters, spells and prices. You get what you actually miss - without the things that wore us out back then.

A letter from umffa - read how we think, then I will show you the pictures.

What are we really missing?

As old-school players we miss the days when you sat at Tibia for 10 hours a day. But if you really think about it, we don't miss the game itself from those years - we miss the moments: the fear when your character died, the knot in your throat when you lost your backpack or your whole set, the joy of your first level 100, the wars with others, the bullying and the scheming.

And now honestly: that 7.6 was terribly clunky. Runes thrown from the backpack, no hotkeys, a handful of items and monsters. At some point it simply gets boring - and what do you get out of joining yet another 7.4 or 7.6 server for a week, playing two or three hours in the evenings and quitting?

I used to run a 7.6 OTS myself

Back when 7.6 was live on the real Tibia, I had my own 7.6 OTS too, and people played there. We were called Ziom OTS. You may not remember it - there were a lot of servers like that on the OTS lists back then.

Nostalgia won't come back - and that's fine

We are fooling ourselves if we think that feeling will come back. You won't be 10 or 12 again, you won't be buying CC with pocket money on shady websites. You simply want to go back to that atmosphere - to the fear when something dies, when you lose your backpack or your gear. Fine, we'll give you that. But in a better version.

What stays from those days

  • The real 7.6 map: Thais, Carlin, Kazordoon, Ab'Dendriel, Edron, Darashia, Venore, Ankrahmun, Port Hope and Rookgaard
  • The old monsters and spawns from that map
  • Old spells and runes - no ice and earth, which only arrived in 8.0
  • Old NPC prices and wares, old quests, chests and keys
  • You start on Rookgaard, level 1, no vocation
  • Death that hurts - and the fear for your backpack

What we throw out (the clunk)

  • Hotkeys instead of throwing runes from the backpack
  • Autoloot instead of clicking every corpse
  • Market, item shop and the NPC trade window - trading doesn't eat your whole evening
  • Playing on your phone, casts and GOTV
  • Exp stages - less standing on rotworms
  • Roulettes, tasks and arenas - so the evening has a goal

That game was about level 100 and the fighting, not about rotworms

Everyone was chasing level 100 so they could then fight others, cheat and intimidate. Nobody remembers with a tear in their eye the hours spent standing on rotworms near Thais, on orcs or on elves near Venore - at some point it was just boring and cost an awful lot of effort.

Today's player is 30-40 years old, with kids, a business or a full-time job. They don't have 10 hours a day to watch gold coins drop from yet another monster. That is why we cut the grind and keep the emotions.

The community makes the game

Some influencer or edgy streamer will tell you: come to my server, we remove bots, I don't allow this, I don't allow that. But in the end there is only one rule: the way you build the game and the way you build the community is exactly how that game will turn out.

We build it together with the players

We build the 7.6 world - just like the 8.0 Kingdom - together with you. We hold referendums and meetings about what we want to add and what we don't. Roughly every two months a big update lands with what we voted for - new things the server needs, and the removal of things it doesn't.

Players' voice - referendum
I want to read on - what will I see on this server? Pictures and animations instead of walls of text: a villa with a pool, a mine with creepers, a farm, arenas, PK, AI residents, free mem coins. ➜
